WOW it has been 6 months since last post. My, have we been busy. Audrey had wonderful year and had an amazing Christmas holiday! She was a very good girl this year and got lots of fun presents from Santa! She graduated to a big girl bed and tries really hard to sleep in it every night.

She is awaiting her 3RD birthday with much anticipation! She can't wait for her Ballerina party. Hard to believe our little Audrey Lane will be 3 :( last night she said she wanted a baby sister, like Londyn and she will hold her!!!! hahahaha we'll see about that one....not too sure?!!?? lol

Audrey got to take a trip to the beach! She's been talking about going to the beach for about a month now. It's crazy our trip has already come and GONE! I think it was everything she expected and MORE! She was so excited to be with Mimi and Happy and everyone...she loved all the shells at the condo, she didn't care for the sand the first day but eventually warmed up to it and was a busy bee playing with all the sand toys! We are very thankful we were able to take her on a beach trip this year with the fam. She made it a thousands times better! We love watching our lil' Audrey Lane have fun!

Here are some pictures of Audrey and her school friends we received in the mail. They made a list for santa also, with all the things they told Mrs. Ashley. On Audrey's list was: a santa toy, a present, a pink dog, a colors, a paper and puppy! Thats what she kept repeating. I'm not too sure about the dog thing??

Audrey was a witch for Halloween. She loved her green hair, she would look in the mirror and say, "Hair pretty!" Mrs. Ashley had a fun day planned for them, they made sweets, played games and went trick or treating at the neighbors' house. She loves her friends at school and I can tell she had fun. Last night we went hang at Auntie Niki's house and she got to get dressed up again in her costume. She had a good time!

Papa's Birthday

We celebrated Papa's 31st birthday last Sunday. Then we packed up for a road trip to visit Nanny and Uncle Matt in Waco. The trip was very long, thankfully Timi came along and made the ride fun and exciting. We had a very busy agenda once we arrived. Lot's of shopping (& eating!) Audrey shopped like a pro and hung with the big girls til late at night. Wish our stay was a bit longer, but we enjoyed every minute we had there. We even convinced them to re arrange and redecorate their living room. Mimi would be proud of us!

Guess what Audrey got this week....Some bling bling! Monday Nanny and Matt were around to help me bring Audrey to get her ears pierced. She was a very big girl and only cried for a few seconds. She got to have ring pop and even ChickFilA after. She looks way too cute with her earrings, and if you ask her a bout them sometimes she starts "fake crying" LOL guess she remembers it!

Audrey had a blast swimming at Mimi & Happys house. We had home made icecream and plenty of other good food. She played outside in her car. When we got home she heard the fireworks outside so we went watch the neighbors pop em! She was a bit scared of the really loud ones...but kept watching. Leah had a bunch of pretty firecrackers.

We had a very fun weekend. Saturday we went to cousin Beau's birthday party. They had a really cool water fun jump that Audrey loved, but was too scared to go down. She hung out in her baby pool with the other "little ones". There were lots of kids to play with. She had a blast and hung in there all day, til late! Sunday we celebrated Father's Day at Happy's house. We had lots of good food and peanut butter cupcakes for dessert. She got to swim again at their house. Then took a long nap. We had a great weekend. It flew by so fast, with all the fun we had. Audrey helped bake up some goodies for Papa at the babysitters last week. She's already taking after mom. The cookies and brownies were yummy! She was so cute giving Papa his present. We love you POP! Will miss ya this week!!!!

A few months ago I got Ooti Billeaud to come take some photographs of Audrey for her one year old portraits. He did a wonderful job and we had a blast! Here are a few of the ones we picked out for him to edit and get prints of. He delivered them to me Friday when he came to do Blanche's wedding. I was very satisfied with them...and they look even better in person. I can't wait to frame them. Enjoy!

We stopped at this precious little kids boutique and the entire store is filled with lots of frilly and girly things...feathers, zebra print and pink!!!!! She spotted the tea set and absolutely loved it! The nice lady that owns the store asked if I thought Audrey would mind wearing the hat. And of course Audrey did not mind at all. She kept it on the entire time. Looks like a lil' Dessert Diva in the making...check out the pretty pink cupcake on the table ;)

We went take a long weekend trip to Papa's house for Memorial Day weekend. We had lots of fun. We did some shopping, and lots of eating!! So many good places to eat! We sat in front of the window at the restraunt downtown, and Audrey was facing the sidewalk, therefore she would wave at every person that walked by...and no lie EVERY one would stop and wave and laugh at her. Audrey enjoys spending time there and loves to bathe in her cute bathroom...I ask her where's the bath monster, and she looks up at the painting and says "RRRAAAHHH"----So cute!

Our Sunday routine normally consist of going to Church, then lunch at Mimis and Happy's house. This weekend the fam went out of town and it changed up our plans. So instead, we went to Mass, ate left over BBQ from Saturday night and then headed to the DOLLAR STORE! We can always find great things there...like a huge blow up whale pool!!!! and lots of pool toys! Papa cleared out the yard and set up her pool while we patiently waited in the house (lathering up lots of SPF!!!) Audrey looked so cute in her bikini cousin Cullen gave her, we were so glad she finally gets to use it. She loves her pool and had the best time ever playing with her big beach ball and fishing pole! Such a precious thing to see, pure fun and joy! And she even ate a giant rainbow popsicle, and boy was she cheesy! Our baby is now a little girl. And each day she amazes me with new things she can do and has learned. The best is when she hugs my neck tight when I ask for a hug. Here are some pictures of her first swimming pool.

We got to spend time with cousin Evie a lil' bit this weekend..Crawfish Friday at Mimi and Happy's house was fun, but she was very cranky..thanks to her new back teeth she is cutting. Hope She will be all better for next weekends busy schedule! March of Dimes walk, Elle's Kitchen and Evie's 1st Birthday! Exciting!!!

Papa Stayed with Audrey Sunday night so I could go with Blanche and my mom to Houston for some last minute Wedding shopping. As I was walking out the door, Audrey said "MAA MA" I was sad to leave her but knew she would do just fine hanging out with papa. They had fun and she went play with cousin Beau and their new bunny. I think he realized what a handful she is. Thank you for being a great daddy! I know she enjoyed being with you, and I know she was spoiled while I was gone

...thats going to be Audrey's first words!!! She got The Princess & the Frog movie for Easter, and she absolutely loves it! She loves the frogs...Guess cause she's a "Rayne" girl!! We know all the songs by heart and I can almsot recite the whole movie. It really is the cutest movie! I think I love it bc of its New Orleans based story and setting. So anyway, one of her favorite parts is when "Ray" and all the fireflies sing "Going down the bayou" she claps and screams! cute. Bye for now

Glenn is sill working out of town, in Natchitoches and last week he moved into a new condo. So of course Audrey and I had to take a little road trip to help put his house together. We promised not to make it too "frilly" but it was hard. We found this really cute shop downtown with lots of animal print stuff :) and Audrey had to have this princess chair for Papa's new house!!! Yesterday Audrey celebrated her first birthday!!! Yes it is very hard to believe she is a year old. Our lil' baby is big now!! She can walk, say mama daddy & baybeee! lol And does lots of other funny things!!! We had her birthday party at Mimi & Happy's Saturday. She was so darn cute in her special Tutu and cupcake shirt!!! Today after I went pick up Audrey we played outside a little while in the front yard. Audrey had fun pushing her toy and crawling up and down the steps...she is def a climber and is not afraid of much! She spotted one of our neighbors walking her dogs and was yelling at them. Guess they heard her too because one of them got loose and came meet us. That made Audrey's day. She was so excited when it got closer. It was the cutest thing ever. Well, guys, as of yesterday Audrey has begun to walk! It's official she took long enough steps to consider it"walking". We were playing with her and she just let go of the coffee table and darted towards Papa! She was very shaky at first, but after we clapped and hoorayed for her, she realized the fun of it. She was so excited, that she would try to take off too fast. She is still not a pro and needs a little practice. She will definitely be running around at her 1st Birthday!!! Which is only few weeks away. Hard to believe...makes us sad our lil' baby is growing up :(

Audrey's First Christmas!!!

We hope everyone had a Very MERRY Christmas!! We sure did! Audrey made our holidays so much fun. It was such a joy to watch her have fun with all of our family at Christmas! We went to Glenn's Aunt Janice's for lunch on Christmas Eve, where Audrey got to open her first present! She loved being around all the cousins there and loves her presents! After lots of good food, we went home for a quick power nap, then off to Mimi and Happy's for round two! Where there were lots more gifts, food and family!!!! Then later that night after she fell asleep, Santa passed and left Audrey lots of cool things....Clothes, a toy purse (even came with a lipstick!!), a farm house, bath toys, lots of new bows, a cookies jar for when MOM makes cookies....and the best of all LEOPARD boots! She loved unwrapping all her gifts and was so excited. We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas! It was awesome!

Audrey and Mom took a road trip to visit Papa for a few days in Natchitoches. Last night we went look at all the lights downtown and went look around at a few shops. It was pretty chilly though. Then we went eat at Mariner's, a nice restraunt on the river. The food was awesome and Audrey was very well behaved. Kinda loud, but good! Today we headed out early for a lil' Christmas shopping...she fell asleep on the way home. About to head out for a little more shopping at the shops down town. It is very pretty today! We are staying across the street from the House Steel Magnolias was filmed at. It is the view from the front porch here.Pretty neat!

Last weekend Cousin Evie came spend time with us. She got to play on Audrey's blanket and loved all her toys! Mom and Dad had an evening with friends, so she hung out at Nanny's! She is such a sweet baby and was very good. She laughed at me and Audrey the whole time. Audrey will definitely have to learn some rules on sharing as they get older, every toy Evie would pick up, Audrey wanted and would take it from her. Evie was such a good sport and was content with any toy. They are really sweet together, and we are so lucky to have them so close in age. They are gonna be best gal pals! It will be fun. Hello to all! We enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday and are looking forward to Audrey's first Christmas. We had a very nice Thanksgiving with the Boudreaux's at Happy's house. And visited with the Thibodeaux's at Aunt Janice's! Audrey has 3 teeth and is almost about to start walking. She is still quite a character and can wave "BYE BYE" now. She waves at everyone when we are shopping...and of course with the a big grin on her face! She came along with Mom and MImi to Houston for some shopping and fun at Melba's Market. Well, Audrey finally has a tooth!!!! Today after picking her up from Crystal's, I noticed she had a tiny piece of white showing...and it was indeed her first tooth. Yay, she's nine months old...it was sure time to get one. We have been doing very well. This weekend Mom and Papa are going to a wedding in New Orleans and Audrey will stay with Auntie Niki and the boys. I will miss my lil' girl! But know she will be in good hands and I know she will have lots of fun playing with Beau.

Well Audrey enjoyed her first Halloween! She was a leopard....a PINK one of course! We went to the carnival at Papa's Church with cousin Beau and Auntie Niki, she had so much fun watching all the kids and everyone loved her costume. She was so cute and left her hood with the ears on all night, she didn't try to pull them off. After, we went visit Mimi and Happy, then went eat at Pizza Palace. Fun night with the fam! Today we went to a pumpkin patch that Mimi was invited to put on by the Miles Perret center. She was out of town , so we still went...so Audrey could see all the pumpkins. Cousin Evie went too. The weather was so pretty, a bit chilly, but very nice! We took pictures in the pumpkins and got to decorate one for Audrey to take home. It has pretty red lipstick and pink feathers...Mimi will like it. After the pumpkin patch we went to the park and had a picnic with Evie, Uncle Bryan and Aunt Kristin. Nanny Blanche came along to join the fun. We had a very fun outing and were glad to spend time with Papa! Can't wait til' Audrey's first Halloween...hadn't decided what she's gonna be yet!

8 months old!

It's hard to believe that our lil baby girl is already 8 months old. She is such a busy body now that she can crawl around. I find myself scooping her up from one place, only to find her back there again within minutes...she keeps us very busy. It's been a while since we posted. This week Audrey and I came to visit Papa in Natchitoches. The weather wasn't too nice, but we enjoyed our stay and Audrey made herself at home, and loves it outside over here. Hope next time its sunny! Today the two of us went (window) shopping downtown. We had fun seeing all the pretty stuff. We'll have to save up some money for next time, so we can buy something...and we only got to see half of the shops! Can't wait. It is so nice over here. Here are a few new pictures of Audrey.

Amy gave Audrey a pair of shoes for my shower. They are called "Heelariuos"....they are high heels for babies, in zebra print...How perfect! Any body that knows me, knows that I am almost always in heels...And now, Audrey too? They finally fit her, I would take them out about every month to see if they fit yet, and the other day when i tried, hooray they stayed on! So this week we cooked for Mimi's birthday and she wore them! They were a hit and we all got a good laugh. Wonder if Audrey will love high heels like her mom? We had a good week and the weekend was nice too! Saturday Papa and Audrey hung out together so I could go with Blanche , Mom, and Mal to look at Wedding dresses! So many pretty ones!!! But ONE stood out!! Yes, Audrey can crawl now and even pulls herself up on the furniture! Look out! It will never be the same again.

Time to pack up again! The weekend flew by...We celebrated Momo's 80th birthday Saturday, the whole family was there. So many babies and so much noise! It was nice seeing everyne again. Audrey is so ready to crawl, but she just hasn't quite figured it out yet....however, it won't be long though. She knows she has to move her arms but can't figure out that her legs have to also. It's so funny to watch her, if she can't reach her toys she'll scoot around in a circle til she reaches whatever she's after. Saturday we went to the Miles Perret, Games of Acadiana with my Mom and the family. It was nice and such an awesome thing they put on. Audrey liked the big Jumbo screen at the cajun dome! She got a pretty flower painted on her face. She ended up falling asleep while we were there and slept while they painted it. Mimi got her hair painted in cool colors instead of her face! Audrey and I wish Papa a very Happy Birthday. Today Glenn is 30 years old. He wasn't too excited to no longer be in his 20's. However, he is blessed to be here with us today, and we love him...even in his 30's! Audrey wanted to wish PAPA a happy birthday so I made this shirt for her to wear. We took a picture of her and sent it to him while he was at work. We hope he has a great day. We have plans to go have dinner tonight, just the two of us at TSUNAMI...mmmm! Nanny will babysit for us to go enjoy Glenn's birthday.

9 YEARS! Happy Anniversary to us!

Nine, long years ago, on this day was the day we got married. I remember like it was just yesterday! We were both so excited and ready to become our own family. To this day people still tell us how fun our wedding was, and we are so glad it was a day that people enjoyed and remembered. Our journey has been one that no one could have pepared us for, but each day that we got through made us stronger and love eachother. Our journey will forever be faced with obstacles and we have faith we can get through anything. We were blessed with our precious Audrey Lane, who has brought us and everyone around us much JOY! She keeps us smiling each day. I thank God for everything he has given us this far and pray he will always watch over us and bless us. I included some pictures from our wedding day....funny...we were both so young! The other picture is the night Glen proposed to me, my mom snapped it before we left and I was wondering why she was taking a picture of us!...I guess I'll never get tired of leopard print, I liked it 9 years ago and still DO! Right now we are with the Fam at Toledo Bend. We headed out here LATE yesterday evening, and arrived when everyone was sleeping! Road trips are not like they used to be when it was just the two of us...Audrey was very good though and slept almost the whole way. And then once we got here,she thought it was time to play! This morning when we woke up Mimi and Happy had went out for their morning walk, and when they got back, had a little "surprise" in their bed! Audrey was watching cartoons there. Then of course everyone gathered around her to laugh and she showed them how she can sit up in the bed like a big girl. I made S.O.S for breakfast for everyone (a very easy and yummy recipe Ms Joy had made during our last trip to Melba's market!and i had loved it)Seems they did too, it was gone pretty fast. Right now I'm sitting outside at my mom and dad's house. The weather is so pretty today. Mimi and the twins are swimming, Papa is laying out trying to get some sun on those legs! And Aunt Layni took Audrey to go visit Momo next door for a while. Today we took out the swing and Audrey loved it so much she fell asleep....she was worn out, she is fighting a lil' cold this weekend, but feeling much better today! We love Sundays! Always good food and relaxation!

Seems like the weekends fly by so fast lately! Before we know it, it's already Sunday! Today we went to church then headed off to Mimi and Happy's for some homemade fried chicken. After we ate, we of course did our ritual of taking pictures of Audrey and Evie. They entertain us so much..we put them on a blanket and watch every move they make! This morning Audrey tried cereal for the first time. It was pretty funny...she really didn't like it too much. Guess we will try it another day. Tonight we are staying with our nephews. They are being so good and are keeping her company. Beau is showing Audrey all his monster trucks. She loves him so much and keeps laughing at him.

Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday we celebrated Audrey's first 4th of July! In the morning, Audrey went to work with mom, and watch cartoons in Mimis room. Later that night we went to a shower for Billy and Melissa, we had lots of fun being around all of the family....so many babies, it was awesome! The entire family was there, with the exception of one cousin! John we missed you!! Wish you were there! Love Ya! It was very hot outside, but we survived and had a wonderful time visiting with everyone. We even got a group picture! Many more fun times are in our future. Can't wait 'til the next gathering. Love you ALL!

Here is Audrey in her 4 month old onesie. Just in time for Summer...it has a sunshine, a beach ball and watermelon. She is getting so big and is so funny now! She has discovered her voice and can let out quite a pretty big yell, and she screeches all the time. It's almost time to make her 5 month onesie now! Be on the look out for it. We are getting ready for the 4th of July, we'll have to find some red, white and blue for her to wear! Bye everyone!

Hello everyone, it's been so long since we posted! Audrey is 4 months old and is getting so big! Today was a very HOT summer day, so we let her take a dip in Mimi and Happy's pool. She has on her new bikini and her sunglasses...cool Mama! She loves to swim. We are having so much fun watching her grow, she makes us laugh and is still such a good baby. Sunday she and Evie were checking each other out...can't wait to see when they get bigger, how fun they will be together.

Sunday, after church, we went to Mimi's house for lunch and brought Audrey's bathing suit...because we knew if the sun was out they would be swimming So after dessert we relaxed a little while then the twins took Audrey for her first dip in the pool! She loved it and did not even cry or squirm when they put her in. It was so cute, she would lay out on the raft. She didn't stay in too long , 'cause of course she got her mom's white skin! Didn't want her to burn. She had a blast and can't wait for her next swim!

Hello everyone! It's been so long since we posted! Things are good and have been very busy...Audrey started going to the babysitter last week, I was so upset, but it was time! She is getting so big and my clients were having to hold her and feed her bottles! Funny! Thanks to all who helped with Audrey in the mean time and to my customers for being so patient. It was very nice to be able to spend this much time at home with Audrey, i cherished every minute of it and glad my job allowed me to do so! She is very good at Crystal's house and naps well there. She hasn't cried when i drop her off yet, maby she never will! Crystal is such a sweet and caring person, I know she takes good care of our precious baby. But i do miss her a bunch during the day!
Last week, my other babysitters, the twins, graduated from 8th grade, they are so grown up and are so pretty! Also Padan Ben graduated highschool Saturday! He too, is so grown and we love him so much! A few new pictures to show you guys so cute silly Audrey still is!

Yesterday my cousin Amy came to Rayne for her usual haircut appointment and visit. Cullen also came with her...it's so funny to watch them interact with each other, now that they are getting older! Audrey of course, stunk him out again! She decided to finally have a BM in the middle of visiting! LOL Poor Cullen. When we were taking these pictures of them, she was on round two. (guess she wasnt done when i changed her) She was being very serious and was making funny noises! Cant wait to see how they act when they get bigger...Little Rascals better behave!

Audrey is getting to be quite a character. She still smiles ALL the time and laughs at everything! She has discovered her hands and tries to grab things! She is so cuddly in the mornings and now lays in our bed to watch Mickey Mouse and Special Agent Oso! its so funny, it puts her back to sleep though! I already know the songs for them and everything, great. We often just stare in awe at her when she is asleep because she is so sweet and beautiful. She has brought much JOY to our life! Glad God blessed us with our lil Audrey Lane!

Fun Weekend!

Last weekend we participated in the March of Dimes, March for Babies in honor of Elle Ava, Bryan and Kristin's first daughter. We did the walk last year and it was nice being with all the family, and after, we all gathered together for a fun night at my Moms for a cooking competition we call: Elle's Kitchen. We prepared an appetizer and then all voted on the best one, and had lots of great prizes. This year we continued the tradition, adding a dessert category. We had lots of GOOD food and lots of fun seeing all the new babies in the family. Bryan and Kristin were even there with their new (3 day old) addition, Evie! She is so beautiful and I am so blessed to be her Nanny! Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Can't wait til next year! There is a picture with Momo and all the new babies, it was so funny trying to get them on the couch...and Audrey kept looking at the Country Living magazine on Mimi's coffee table, they all said she was worried about looking for a recipe for next year LOL

Audrey is loving the pretty weather. Everyday when Papa gets back from work, he takes her for a stroll...and she loves it!! Here are a few cute pictures. Some in her cute red dress Adrienne gave her, it's a first, she wasn't in pink! Today Bryan and Kristin are having their baby, we are so excited and can't waith to meet Evie! Hello Everyone, It's been a while since we posted! Iam back busy at work and have been occupied spending time with Audrey, she is getting so big and is so funny now! She has discovered her hands and she sucks on them all day long...its so cute. She laughs all the time, at everybody and everything! I made her little "2 month old" onesie, it's has butterflies and ladybugs..just in time for spring! At her recent dr. visit, she weighed 12 lbs and is now 23 inches. She is very healthy and right on track on the growing charts, yay!We love this pretty weather. Audrey loves to be outside in her stroller, can't waith for the summer, she got the cutest bathing suit from the Easter Bunny! It's pink leopard print!(of course)

HAPPY EASTER to everyone! We had a good time in Toledo bend. Audrey was very good traveling...The weather could have been a little better, but it was nice to get away! It was pretty chilly, however, we did get to go down and fish Saturday! Me and Audrey watched Papa fish with the rest of them. He caught a few, can't wait til Audrey can fish..it will be funny! To pass some of the time, Mimi and Happy dressed Audrey up in all kind of crazy hats...we all had a good laugh. She is such a happy camper and let us all enjoy the trip!

Tomorow we will be taking our first road trip as a little family, with Audrey. We are going to Toledo Bend for the weekend. We hope she behaves and enjoys the ride, like she usually does. Tuesday Amy and Aunt Angie came to Rayne, for a visit! We finally got to see sweet baby Cullen! How addorable! Also Hallie was there with their new addition, Thomas. All these babies are so precious! My mom's house looked like a daycare, with all the babies and baby gear hanging around...it was so fun, everybody had a baby to hold. And everyone took turns getting haircuts, we had to rotate watching them, at one point they were ALL sleeping. Here's a few pictures of Audrey and Cullen. We had to wake them up to take 'em! Poor Cullen, I think Audrey was stinking him out with her deadly gas! lol Sorry, hope she didn't scare him off too bad. Can't wait for all the holidays, they'll be so fun & exciting.

Throughout my pregnancy and after, my brother Bryan has been so kind to put his photography abilities to work during our journey. He is very talented and creative in catching the best moments, making memories that are so precious last forever! He took the ones of us in Audrey's nursery while I was pregnant, and he took some really awesome ones in the hospital. He recently shot some, for our baby announcements, and they are amazing! Audrey really cooperated and she was her cute little self! This is a sneak peak of how good they came out. We are so lucky and thankful for Bryan's gift of photography! We love U Bryan, thanks for all the memories you have captured for us....sure there are many more to come.

Audrey is 1 Month old!

Yesterday Audrey turned 1 month old. Seems like it was just yesterday we were on our way to the hospital to have her! She is getting big and is so funny. She laughs and smiles at everything, guess she takes after me in that dept! People always love a good smile, right? We had our first trip to the mall, we got to use our stroller...it was funny to stroll that thing around the mall! We're not used of it yet I guess. When nanny Blanche heard we were in lafayette, of course she had to come and see Audrey. After we shopped we went eat at Tsubaki, she slept the whole time!

I made this little shirt that has her age, weight, and length. I want to make one each month til her 1st birthday to watch her grow and see how much she changes. I saw the idea in a magazine, of course theirs wasn't this cute, lol

Getting Bigger!

Last Sunday we went to Momo's house to visit with the family! Monique and Timmy were in town and we just had to let Audrey and Jackson meet. He is the the first one born, of all these new babies. He got so big since I saw him in Houston, he is addorable and is such a happy baby. We snapped a few pictures of him and Audrey...It was fun visiting with everyone. Can't wait to meet the rest of the new Babies!! We also stopped at Auntie Nikki's house to visit! She got to rock her to sleep after she ate. We can't wait to see how her and Beau play together when they get older! It will be so cute. We had a busy Sunday!

Monday Mimi babysat for me to go run a few errands. She said Audrey was good. I think they played the whole time, she stares at everything in mimis house...so many pretties! And i think mom takes pictures of her the whole time too! lol She always sets her up like a lil' photo shoot. I put up one that she took that day, I love it! Good job Mom!

Our week has been good, Audrey had a visit to the doctor and she now weighs 9 lb 12 oz...and is 21 inches long! She is growing everyday, and doc said she's doing very good. We hope she keeps up the good work of eating and sleeping. Bye for now, have a Great weekend

Hello everyone! We are still doing good, Audrey is growing so much everyday! She is sleeping very good at night and is pretty happy during the day. Yesterday my mom and dad came over to see Audrey before they headed out to Toledo Bend, and of course Mimi scooped her up before Happy could, so he was standing over them talking to Audrey and she let out the biggest SMILE ever!! Guess she thinks Happy is funny, like we all do! He was thrilled, she gave him her FIRST real smile. You can tell she was really focusing on him. Can't believe she is almost three weeks old, wish she could stay like this forever. Through out the day she continued to crack a few smiles...I caught one on camera. Cute, huh! She even has tiny dimples when she smiles.

We had a great weekend! First of all Saturday I felt good enough to go with Blanche and Mal on a lil' shopping trip. Blanche needed to get a gift, so we just went to the Glamour Closet in Rayne, but it was nice to get out and get dressed. Audrey came along for the ride and she was very good, she slept the whole time we were there. Hope this means she will enjoy shopping, because Mom really likes too! I'm not used to how long it takes to get a baby, and myself ready and pack up everything...it was 3:00 by time we left! Guess we'll eventually get the hang of it. Sunday morning we went to church and she was very good there too! Aunt Janice got to hold Audrey and put her to sleep. We enjoyed the time at church together. After, we went to Mimi and Happy's for lunch and everybody took a turn holding Audrey and my grandmother (Tootsie) even came to see and hold her! She also got to meet my Nanny, Teenie, and Aunt Carla and her cousins! After a very busy day we came home and relaxed and bathed Audrey. She still loves her bath time! She is so very sweet and is an awesome baby!

So, we survived a whole week! Time flies when you're having fun right? Sure does, especially when there's a beautiful baby around. We are adjusting to our new little life and it gets a bit easier each day.We had many visitors and were so happy all our family and friends love us and want to come see Audrey. Thank you, everyone!

Papa loves to hold Audrey, she stares at him and it's the most sweetest thing in the world. He is a great DAD. He helps out so much around the house and makes sure we have everything we need. Audrey is still a very good baby and eats and sleeps well. We are very blessed!We took our first outing to Mimi and Happy's house Sunday, so I could go and cut my hair! (Friday I went chop it all off to donate it to Locks of Love, they do it every year at RCE on Valentines Day and Me and Blanche decided to participate in honor of my Mom.)

Everybody got a turn to hold her at Mimi's and we enjoyed the visit! She loves riding in the car, so I'm sure we will be going on many outings in the future.

We are doing good and pray things keep going well!

Home Sweet Home!

We survived the delivery and hospital stay, now it's time to return home...and start our new life with Audrey. We are so excited to be home and begin this journey that's ahead of us! We thank everyone who came to visit us, it's nice to have so many loving family and friends be there for us at this special time! Our hospital stay flew by and when it was time to pack up and come home we were so anxious and ready. As we dressed Audrey, she patiently layed on the bed and looked around, never making a peep! She is such a good baby so far and we will be blessed if she stays like this. Our drive home was exciting, our car was loaded down with all the balloons and flowers everyone sent and She just sat in her seat smiling away(no lie, she was smiling!) As we got home Mimi and Happy arrived just in time to help Glenn unload all our goodies, and got to give her a few kisses before returning to work. This afternoon Aunt Nikki and cousins Taylor & Andreu came to visit and she was so alert and happy to see them! Later Blanche came over and helped me give her a bath...I was a bit nervous she would do the whole "screaming" thing, but she didn't! She loved her little bath and even at one time had her leg propped up on the side. It was so funny.

It's so nice of everyone to come help us out and we appreciate everything you all do!! We look forward to everyone being able to come visit and see our new Bundle of Joy!

Words can't explain the JOY we feel in announcing the birth of our daughter Audrey Lane! God blessed us Tuesday Feb 10, 2009 at 12:39 p.m. with the arrival of a perfect baby girl, with beautiful blue eyes and thick brown hair! She weighs 8 lbs 10oz and is 20 1/4 inches long. We fell in love with her the minute she entered our world! Every minute we waited for her arrival was worth it! That extra week she was in the womb only made her that much more beautifu!l We want to show you all how precious she is and what proud parents we are! Thank you to everyone for all the prayers and concerns for us all, the delivery went well with no complications. It was a day we will have forever in our memories.

Back home...With NO BABY again!

Well, we left this morning for my apt. a little early in hopes to get a jump start on things. We left the house in immaculate condition, made sure everything was nice and neat and clean for Audrey to come home to. Both a tad nervous, we pulled out the driveway, and said to each other, "Next time we come back we'll have a baby!" Both smiling, we drove to off, made one stop to drop off Glen's clothes at the dry cleaners and off to Lafayette! We got Dr. Hardy's office and I went back for my check up...he walked in with a long face holding my chart and said..."Well, Little Blair, I have some bad news, I'm looking ate your charts and noticing that we made a mistake on your due date, it's actually supposed to be March 1st not February 1." My heart sank to the floor and I was speechless for a second and kinda started to panic. What? Are ya kidding me!!! Needless to say he was just picking on me and said he was just joking. He knows how ready Iam to have this baby and told me I should be proud of myself for being a good trooper and hanging in this long. He went on with my checkup and informed me that I am still at only 1 cm and would still be wise to induce because things are looking slow and she is 8 days over due. So he proceeds to tell me that when I come back "tonight" they'll start the medicine and hopefully I'll have her come early morning. When he says that I Said, "tonight?" Surely he's just joking again right??? He said, "Yes, tonight." (See I was told we would go straight from there to the hospital.) Unfortunately, I was given the wrong information the other day and we are to come back to the hospital around 7pm and then get things started! At that point I got that really heavy lump in throat and had to hold back a few tears, because I was so upset and felt like this is never gonna happen...but pulled myself together, knowing its soon gonna be here. He then put me on the monitor to check Audrey's activity and her heart rate, Glen was very patient and noticed that every time he would talk to me or her, it would go up! He got a kick out that...She loves her daddy! Dr. Hardy said she's fine, plenty active and said we could go.
So we left, kina discouraged. We will just have to wait a little while longer to see her...it will all be Worth the wait!!!

Here is a slide show of Audrey's room. If she only knew how cute her room was, maybe she would want to come out sooner!! The nursery came out exactly as I envisioned it would! I wanted for sure it to be Sweet and Girly, but yet a bit funky. "Mimi" helped me find all the perfect fabric and we pulled it all together just right! Glen re-did the closet bars to fit her tiny lil' clothes and of course I had to paint it to match the room! We can't wait til' she here, to lay her down in her precious bed. Hopefully it won't be much longer...we'll keep everyone posted!

Worth the Wait!!!

Hello everyone! Well as you can tell...still no Audrey! Wish we would be posting a picture of her here to show you guys, but we don't have that quite yet. This is the last we've seen she looks like. Cant wait to see her precious little face now. This was our ultrasound when we found out it would be a GIRL! Since then we have been overjoyed with the thought of her arrival and the blessing she will be for us! To keep you guys updated, My doctors office called and said that for some chance if I still haven't had her by Monday, that I will go in for my scheduled appointment (along with our bags!) and he will send me over to the hospital and induce on Monday. So we know for sure she will be here by the 9th... However we are hoping and praying she comes sooner, and on her own naturally without having to induce. Keep us in your prayers! We are anxious and SOOOO ready.

Nine months ago we found out the very exciting news that we were expecting a baby! And she was due to arrive on February 1st! Well, that's today and little miss Audrey is taking her time. I guess we'll just settle down and watch the SUPER BOWL and wait for something to happen! Her precious nursery is ready with the exception of hanging the curtains. Maybe we'll do that today in case she's like her mom or her Mimi and is waiting til it all looks just so! Whatever the case may be, we can not wait to meet her and see her cute little face and give her big kiss! Our bags are packed and we are ready to GO!!
